Doctor Strange 2: New Trailer Reveals Savage Land, A Location Connected To X-Men Villain Magneto

The new Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness trailer has just revealed a lot of information to fans. Including an evil variant of Wanda, Ultron robots and Patrick Stewart’s jaw-dropping Professor X clue. But there are still a few details that only comic book fans will notice, one of them is the “Savage Land“.

In the new trailer, we saw Strange fall into a forest, which would be “Savage Land” in Marvel Comics. Savage Land is a place centered on X-Men, in particular Magneto. Magneto used the forest for hiding and using it as a base of operations until the X-Men captured him and revealed the forest to the world.

The savage land was created by the disciple of the Beyonders and was home to different unknown tribes and dinosaurs. It is also the home of a fan-favorite Marvel Comics character, Ka-Zar.

While we don’t have any confirmations regarding Savage Land yet, this could be a good opportunity for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to introduce the X-Men. Given that Patrick’s Stewart is already confirmed for the Multiverse of Madness, that means we can expect more mutant X-Men appearances in the Doctor Strange sequel or any future MCU movies.

Savage Land is best known as a location linked to the X-Men villain Magneto, however, we still have no information on whether Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender will reprise their roles. Rumors are swirling around the internet that Multiverse of Madness will feature many different character cameos that will break records in Marvel history. These characters will be drawn from Marvel’s various franchises which include The Fantastic Four, Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman, and of course, The-Xmen, who we’re sure will be joined by main villain, Magneto.

Magneto is widely known for antagonizing the X-Men not only in the movies, but also in Marvel Comics. So if Marvel introduces X-Men to the MCU, we can expect to see Magneto for sure.

Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness is one of the most anticipated films of 2022 after Spiderman: No Way Home. The film will premiere on May 6, 2022.
