Waddle Dee Town is Kirby’s base in Kirby & The Forgotten Land, and players can help the town grow by rescuing Waddle Dees from the Beast Pack.
In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, players explore a mysterious and abandoned world in their quest to save the Waddle Dees from the dastardly Beast Pack and rebuild Waddle Dee Town. Waddle Dee Town serves as a home base for Kirby and his friends, giving them a place to rest and recharge between adventures. As Kirby rescues Waddle Dees at every stage of this 3D platformer, Waddle Dee Town will grow, unlocking more facilities and mini-games for players to enjoy.
Each establishment of Kirby and the Forgotten Land Waddle Dee Town can only be built after Kirby saves a certain number of Waddle Dees from the Beast Pack. Kirby’s house, for example, can be built after players save 50 Waddle Dees, giving Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee a place to sleep and recover their full health. Players are free to explore Kirby’s home for the first time in the series, and this cute little house can be decorated with photos and figurines that Kirby collects throughout the game.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land players will also have access to a variety of stores as Waddle Dee Town grows. The Waddle Dee Item Shop sells useful items such as Attack Boosts and Life Boosts that increase Kirby’s Attack and Max Health. Waddle Dee’s weapon shop, meanwhile, offers Kirby more powerful evolved copy forms in exchange for blueprints found at each stage. There’s also the Waddle Dee Café, a restaurant where Kirby can buy food and even get a part-time job.
What to do in Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s Waddle Dee Town
Waddle Dee Town also has useful facilities where Kirby and the Forgotten Land players can obtain special items and replay parts of the game. Players can visit the post office in Waddle Dee-liveries to redeem amiibo and redeem codes found throughout the various stages of the game, although some of these codes require an internet connection to be claimed. The Gotcha Machine Alley also features a variety of collectible figurines that Kirby can use to decorate his home. If players want to practice combat, they can go to the Coliseum to face the bosses. Additionally, the Waddle Dee Cinema replays cutscenes so players can stay up to date with the game’s story as it unfolds.
In addition to stores and facilities that provide Kirby with everything he needs to explore Kirby and the forgotten land post-apocalyptic world, Waddle Dee Town features a number of fun mini-games that players can play to take a break from the action. Kirby can cast his line into the fishing pond in town, and the Tilt-and-Roll Kirby mini-game lets players roll Kirby down an incline course to reach the end. As players save more Waddle Dees to unlock all Waddle Dee Town features, they can log in with Wise Waddle Dee to see how many Waddle Dees they have saved so far. Of course, when Kirby is ready for his next adventure, he can use the Warp Star in the main plaza to advance to the next stage of Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
