Bobby Lashley could be injured after appearing to land on his head, having fallen from the ring when the rope broke during a match with Drew McIntyre.
The WWE Superstars faced off as part of the first night of the promotion’s Spring European Tour in Newcastle, England on Thursday night.
The incident happened following a power snap attempt which McIntyre managed to reverse. He pushed Lashley into the ropes and sent him flying into the ones at the other end as he escaped from a clothesline. Bobby was supposed to have bounced back, but the ropes gave way, sending him out of the ring in a heap. Twitter user @Louie_Von05, who was in the crowd, recorded the bump.
Lashley’s body doubled over as he exited the ring, and it seemed to land on his head and neck. McIntyre was surprised and no doubt concerned by his counterpart, especially given the recent situation with Big E.
E landed on his head after Ridge Holland missed a belly-to-belly flop outside the ring in a fight that took place in March. The New Day star suffered a broken neck and may never be able to wrestle again.
While E couldn’t continue, Lashley was able to finish his fight with McIntyre, who has since tweeted about the accident and made it seem like Lashley was fine.
“Thank you #WWENewcastle We tore the house down…..and the ring down!” he wrote.
We hope the former WWE Champion is doing well.
